Запомните следующие прилагательные, оканчивающиеся на -lу:
elderly — пожилой

lonely — одинокий
lovely — чудесный
motherly — материнский
silly — глупый
ugly — уродливый
• Запомните английское наречие well (хорошо)!
She is a goodrunner. She runs well! — Она хорошая бегунья. Она бегает хорошо!
• Некоторые слова могут быть и прилагательными, и наречиями.

• Наречие hardly часто используется с:
— any / anybody / anyone / anything / anywhere
How many friends have you got? — Hardly any. Hardly anybody likes me. (Очень мало. Я практически никому не нравлюсь.)
— ever: hardly ever (практически никогда)
I hardly every buy chocolate. — Я практически никогда не покупаю шоколад.
— can / could + hardly
I was tired out. I could hardly walk. — Я очень устал. Я едва мог идти.
