После глаголов восприятия

Прилагательные

 

После глаголов восприятия (appear, become, get, feel, look, seem, smell, sound, stay, taste)используйте прилагательные, а не наречия, как в русском языке.

She looks beautiful,(прилагательное) — Она выглядит прекрасно, (наречие)

 

Обратите внимание на выражение to feel well(чувствовать себя хорошо, быть здоровым). Слово well вданном случае не наречие, а прилагательное!

 

Обратите внимание на разницу:

Не looked sad.— Он выглядел грустным.

Не lookedat me sadly.— Он грустно посмотрел на меня.

 

17. Прилагательное + предлог

 

Некоторые прилагательные требуют после себя упот­ребления определенных предлогов.

После некоторых прилагательных возможно

употребление разных предлогов.

to look / sound familiar to	The voice sounded familiar to
somebody	me. — Голос казался мне зна-
	комым.
to be familiar with something	Are you familiar with this type
	of machine? — Ты знаком с
	этим типом машин?
angry with somebody, about	They are usually angry with us
something	about our decisions. — Они
	обычно злятся на нас из-за
	наших решений.
angry withsomebody for doing	She was angry with me for be-
something	ing late. — Она разозлилась на
	меня за то, что я опоздал.
disappointed about doing something	He is really disappointed about not being able to go there. — Он действительно расстроен из- за того, что не может пойти
туда.
disappointed insomebody	I am disappointed in him. — Я в нем разочарована
disappointed with something	I have to say that we are disap- pointed with your report. — Я должен сказать, что мы разо-
чарованы вашим докладом.
to look / sound familiar to somebody	This song sounds familiar to me. — Эта песня кажется мне
знакомой.
familiar with something	Are you familiar with the rules of tennis? — Ты знаком с пра-
вилами игры в теннис?
to feel guilty about doing something	I really feel guilty about forget- ting about her birthday. — Я действительно виноват в том,
что забыл о ее дне рождения.
to be guilty of something	Не was guilty of murder. — Он был виновен в убийстве.
happy / pleased with something	Are you happy with your new car? — Ты доволен своей но-
вой машиной?
happy about somebody	I am not happy about Tom rid- ing on. that motorbike. — Мне не нравится, что Том ездит на
этом мотоцикле.
nervous about	I am nervous about my exams. — Я нервничаю по поводу экза-
менов.
nervous of	She has always been nervous ofrats. — Она всегда боялась крыс.
upset about (by, over)	She was still upset about (by, over)the argument she had had with her friend. — Она все еще была расстроена из-за спора со своим другом.
certain / sure of (about)	Are you certain about (of)that now? — Теперь ты в этом уве­рен?
annoyed / impressed with (by)somebody or something	I was impressed by her behav­iour. — Я был поражен ее по­ведением.
amazed / amused / astonished / disgusted / surprised / shocked / at (by) something	We were amazed at (by) his quick recovery. — Мы были очень удивлены его быстрым вы­здоровлением.
