Countable and uncountable nouns; How much?/How many?
Countable nouns are things that we can count. They have singular and plural forms and we can use numbers in front of them.

number of countable nouns.
How many bananas do you buy every week?
Uncountable nouns are things we can't count. They do not have plural forms and we cannot use numbers in front of them.
UseHow much ...?to ask questions about the
quantity of uncountable nouns.
How much water do you drink every day?
Show the quantity(how much/many) of countable
and uncountable nouns by using another noun (e.g.
a bag) or a measurement (e.g.kilos) + of in front of
the noun.
A bag of bananas. Haifa kilo of bananas. A glass of water. A litre of water.

Singular countable nouns

Useа/ап before singular countable nouns when there is only one of the noun. Use а/ап in positive and negative statements and in questions.

Plural countable nouns
