Text M “Woodworking faculty (Technology and equipment of woodworking production)”

I study at the Tyumen State Agricultural Academy. It was founded in 1959 as an Agricultural Institute. It got the title of the Academy on 3rd April, 1995.

Our Academy has four Institutes: Agro-Technology, Mechanical-Technology, Institute of Economy and Finance and the Institute of Biotechnology and Veterinary Medicine.

I am a second-year student of Woodworking faculty (Technology and equipment of woodworking production), the Mechanical- Technology Institute. Our Institute was founded in 2000.

Nowadays there are seven faculties at the Mechanical- Technology Institute. It has a highly qualified teaching staff. Moreover, there are 28 modern laboratories: laboratories of agricultural machines, tractors and automobiles, well-equipped baking shop and workshops at the Mechanical- Technology Institute.

Woodworking faculty was established in 2002. Our faculty trains engineers for woodworking industry. I am a full-time student.

I think my future speciality is very important and necessary one. It requires deep knowledge in all branches of agriculture. We study many subjects, which are interesting and necessary for our future speciality. They are Mathematics, English, descriptive geometry, strength of materials, theory of machines and mechanisms, technology of woodworking industry, timber technology and many others. All these subjects help us to become qualified specialists.

Our speciality requires deep knowledge in the industrial organization of agricultural production. Its main tasks are efficient utilization of technological equipment and improvement of timber quality.

The last purpose of our specialists is to work out plans, programmes and methods for efficient utilization of timber.

While studying the students have their practical work on the experimental training farm and at different woodworking enterprises of our region.

I think my future speciality is very interesting and at the same time useful and important for the development of woodworking industry. I like my future speciality.

We can learn skills, which fit us for a better career in future. An educated person contributes more to the society and education gives a person the prospect for professional advance.

I think my future speciality is connected with forestry and efficient utilization of woods. One of the main tasks of the specialist is to improve the species of the vegetation and the quality of woods.
