MY FUTURE PROFESSION

Our life has been changed greatly. Many conceptions have been changed too. Our University trains specialists in different spheres of service: technology, maintenance of vehicles, computers, accountancy, law and tourism. It trains economists and managers too. But the meaning of their professions is not the same as before. The economic situation in our country is rather complicated now, the country needs good specialists for its national economy, and the profession of an economist is one of them. The sphere of activity of economists is constantly expanding and increasing more and more.

A qualified economist knows bookkeeping, marketing, management and all aspects of economic activity of enterprises, etc. It’s very important for a specialist to be a skillful user of a computer and to speak foreign languages.

Companies and firms need to be constantly engaged in product development, if they wish to grow and make profits. They must know everything about market. And, of course, they need qualified specialists in marketing.

Economists take part in joint-ventures and joint-stock companies, work for big international companies. They must know how to redistribute funds and material resources, conduct work to strengthen cooperation with firms and banks. They access data about the conditions of both home and foreign markets and collect bank of information.

Future economist must know a lot about payments and bank accounting operations. He must be ready to use new and innovative ways of doing business.

Now with rising new companies and commercial deals, some new doors are opening up for our graduates and more and more major companies are eager to explore potential of new economists.
